Questions And Answers

Documents You'll Need to Help Someone Out of Jail

The quicker you understand the bail process, the quicker you or a loved one will be released from jail. The following documents needed include:
•  A job description
•  Co-signer that is at least 18 years old and a United States citizen
•  Social security number
•  Valid identification

How Long Does This Process Take?

The bail process varies from jail to jail. It basically depends on what jail or county a person is arrested in. Most times the paperwork takes approximately 30 minutes. The actual bail process will take between two and six hours.

Keep in mind that Patriot Bail Bonds is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 405-808-5595 for your FREE initial consultation.

Responsibilities of a Co-Signer

•  Responsible for making sure the defendant makes all of their scheduled court appearances
•  Ensure that the premium is paid as scheduled (if this applies)
•  Help Patriot Bail Bonds locate the defendant, if necessary
•  Understand what you are agreeing to when you co-sign a bail bond

Arraignment / Court Appearance:

If you have NOT been in front of a judge, the first thing you will need to do is report to the court. This will be your arraignment (initial appearance). You do NOT need an attorney for arraignment. You WILL, however, need an attorney for all court dates after arraignment.

• Cleveland County: 200 S Peters Ave Norman, OK 73069.......................(405.321.6402)
• City of Norman Municipal Court: 201 W Gray St Norman, OK 73069.....(405.366.5325)
• City of Moore Municipal Court: 101 E Main St Moore, OK 73160............(405.793.5040)

***If you have already seen a judge, return to court on your next court date ***

Reporting / checking in:

Call or text once a week and after each court date. You must notify Patriot Bail Bonds of any changes such as, but not limited to…change of address, employment and/or phone number.
It is very important that you communicate with the bondsman or I can reach you if need be.

***MISSING COURT***

If something happens and you miss the assigned court date, contact your attorney
and CALL YOUR BONDSMAN!!!

We can help correct this mistake (most of the time without a warrant being issued). The courts don’t forget and the charges will not just go away.
If you miss your court date and do nothing, a warrant will be issued for Failure to Appear, your bond amount could double in price and it will more difficult to post bond.
